Blackheart malleable cast iron dibuat hampir sama dengan dengan yang dilakukan dalam pembuatan whiteheart malleable cast iron akan tetapi decarburisasi selama dalam proses perlakuan panas harus terlindungi atau terhidar dari kemungkinan pengeluaran udara dari dalam kotak carburisasi oleh karena itu kotak dibuat dari bahan yang neutral dan dilengkapi dengan pendukung benda tuangan tersebut.<\/p>\n

Proses ini akan mengakibatkan terurainya bentuk struktur cementite, dimana pengembangan susunan unsur karbon di dalam ferrite matrix. besi tuang yang diberi perlakuan ini ialah besi tuang yang mengandung unsur karbon di atas 2,4 % dengan perhatian khusus terhadap jumlah komposisi pada saat peleburan.<\/p>\n

Blackheart malleable cast iron terdaftar dalam british standar dengan grade sesuai dengan angka tegangan serta prosentase pertambahan panjangnya. Blackheart malleable cast iron tidak sebaik whiteheart cast iron dalam sifat castability karena kandungan unsur karbon lebih rendah.<\/p>\n

Blackheart malleable cast iron digunakan dalam industri automotive serta berbagai kedaraan commersial dimana secara kuantitas blackheart malleable cast iron berisfat castability, tahan getar (shock resistance), mudah dalam pemesinan (macinability), umumnya digunakan dalam produk rear exle houshing, wheel hubs, differential cariers, juga pedal, tuas komponene rem,axle box, coupling part serta berbagai alat pertanian, perkereta apian dan lain- lain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

6. Pearlitetic Malleable Cast Iron<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Pearlitetic malleable cast iron dibuat dengan bahan whiteheart malleable cast iron melalui proses perlakuan panas (heat treatment) sebagaimana dalam pembuatan blackheart malleable cast iron. Pearlitetic matrix dipeoleh dari ferritic matrix. pearlitetic matrix terbentuk dengan meningkatkan kadar manganese hingga 1% dimana manganese merupakan elemen pengikat carbide secara stabil dan membentuk pearlite yang terarah kepada proses perlakuan panas convesional untuk blackheart malleable cast iron, atau oleh pemanasan ferritic blackheart malleable cast iron. yakni pemanasan pada temperatur 8500c dan quenching udara atau oli serta diikuti dengan tempering.<\/p>\n

Sebagai alternatif white cast iron dengan komposisi yang sama dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pembuatan blackheart malleable cast iron dengan quenching udara yang diikuti dengan tempering, namun metoda ini bukan merupakan proses malleabilising. Semua proses yang dilakukan untuk mencapai matrix setara baja. Kelebihan unsur karbon dapat diatasi dengan proses tempering sesuai dengan kebutuhan.<\/p>\n

Proses heatreatmen dapat mengubah bentuk susunan atom (matrix) dan merangsang decoposition produk austenite dengan variasi betuk struktur dari lammelar pearlite atau spheriodite carbides, sebagaimana proses tempering struktur martensite pada baja (steel).<\/p>\n

Pearlitetic malleable cast iron terdaftar pada British standards dalam dua grade menurut sesuai dengan angka tegangan serta prosentase pertambahan panjangnya. Pearlitetic malleable cast iron dapat dikeraskan dengan metoda flame dan induction hardened yang dapat memperbaiki sifat mekaniknya secara menyeluruh. perkembangan penggunaan pearlitetic malleable cast iron semakin meningkat terutama bahan produk yang tahan goncangan (shock resistance), secara spesifik digunakan sebagai exle dan differential housings, cam shaft dan gear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
