Perubahan bentuk graphite terjadi selama perlakuan panas, atau dengan bahan-bahan tambahan.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">8. <b>Spheriodal Graphite Cast Iron<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\">Spheriodal graphite cast iron dibuat dari unsur besi dengan penambahan magnesium atau cerium, dengan demikian maka bentk dari graphite akan berubah. Tuangan spheriodal graphite cast iron dipanaskan pada temperatur 9000c selama beberapa jam, unsur karbon akan memecah diri, proses pendinginan akan mengubah sebagian besar bentuk struktur logam menjadi ferritic spheriodal graphite cast iron.<\/p>\n<p>Spheriodal graphite cast iron memiliki sifat mekanik antara besi tuang kelabu (grey cast iron) dengan baja. Hal ini dikarenakan besi lebih rendah kadar karbonnya dari pada besi tuang kelabu (grey cast iron) oleh karena itu perubahan partikel kedalam bentuk dari graphite akan memberikan penguatan terhadap sifat dari spheriodal graphite. Dengan demikian sifat dari besi tuang ini dapat dibengkok untuk menghilangkan terak dan distorsi.<\/p>\n<p>Spheriodal graphite cast iron dapat dikerjakan dengan pemesinan secara basah maupun kering, dapat dilas dengan teknik normal dan diberi pelapisan dengan lapisan tembaga (copper) atau chromium untuk tahan korosi (wear resistance). Spheriodal graphite cast iron terdaftar pada British standard dalam dua grade menurut sesuai dengan angka tegangan serta prosentase pertambahan panjangnya.<\/p>\n<p>Ferritic spheriodal graphite cast iron lebih ulet (ductile) dan pearlitic spheriodal graphite cast iron lebih kuat. Spheriodal graphite cast iron secara luas digunakan dalam industri komponen automotive seperti crank shaft, brake drums, transmission casting dan lain-lain.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">9. <b>Pearlitic Cast Iron<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Pearlitic cast iron dibuat dengan memberikan bahan tambah sejumlah calsium silikat yang has dari pearlitic cast iron ialah produk dengan nama meehanite , memiliki struktur dasar pearlite secaramikroscopoc dapat digambarkan bentuk graphite flakes yang halus. meehanite memproduksi sesuai dengan permintaan untuk pekerjaan besar memiliki tegangan yang bervariasi antara 210 hingga590 N\/mm2. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">10. <b>Besi tuang Paduan<\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\">Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sifat yang khusus, sejumlah besar unsur paduan ditambahkan ke dalam besi tuang, secara umum terjadi persenyawaan kimia pada semua unsur dan memberikan pengaruh terhadap besi tuang sebagaimana terjadi pada baja paduan, dan yang berpengaruh sangat besar ialah prosentase kadar karbon terutama pada ukuran ketebalan dari benda tuangan itu sendiri yang memerlukan pengendalian pendinginan.<\/p>\n<p>Pemberian unsur paduan pada besi tuang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki sifat dari besi tuang tersebut yang meliputi sifat mekanik, sifat phisic dan sifat kimianya seperti peningkatan tegangan, kekerasan, ketahanan korosi, respon terhadap perlakuan panas, dan sifat-sifat lain yang lebih spesifik.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>7.
