Karena jebakan saluran (line trap) merupakan impedansi tinggi terhadap frekuensi pembawa, maka jebakan ini diserikan dengan saluran transmisi tenaga guna memperbaiki karakteristik penyaluran gelombang-gelombang pembawa.<br \/>\nPengaitan induktip lewat udara menggunakan penghantar yang dipasang sejajar dan dengan jarak tertentu dari saluran transmisi; sistem ini dipakai untuk mengaitkan peralatan PLC dengan saluran transmisi pada frekuensi tinggi. Sistem ini sekarang jarang digunakan.<\/p>\n<p>Ada dua jenis pengaitan dengan kapasitor. Yang pertama adalah sistem pengaitan dengan kapasitor jenis penala (tuning type), dimana rangkaian penala (termasuk kapasitor pengait) dikaitkan secara seri dengan saluran transmisi. Macam yang kedua adalah sistem pengaitan dengan kapasitor jenis penyaring (filter), dimana pengaitan peralatan PLC dengan saluran dilakukan melalui penyaring pengait dan kapasitor pengait Sistem kedua ini sekarang banyak dipakai, lihat gambar 5-87.<\/p>\n<p>Kapasitor pengait memisahkan saluran transmisi dari peralatan PLC dan bersama penyaring pengait merupakan jaringan empat-kutub yang meneruskan frekuensi tinggi. Yang dipakai biasanya adalah kapasitor kertas terisi minyak seperti terlihat pada Gambar -88, dengan kapasitansi<br \/>\nelektrostatis 0,001 &#8211; 0,002 \u00b5F.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai penyaring dipakai &#8220;band-pass filter&#8221;. Rangkaiannya dari jenis trafo seperti terlihat pada Gambar 5-87(b).
