Tiang kayu sudah jarang digunakan karena daya tahannya (umumnya) relatif pendek dan memerlukan pemeliharaan khusus. Sedang tiang besi jarang digunakan karena harganya relative mahal dibanding tiang beton, disamping itu juga memerlukan biaya pemeliharaan rutin.<\/p>\n<p>Dilihat dari fungsinya, tiang listrik dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu tiang pemikul dan tiang tarik. Tiang pemikul berfungsi untuk memikul konduktor dan isolator, sedang tiang tarik fungsinya untuk menarik konduktor.\u00a0 Sedang fungsi lainnya disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan sesuai dengan posisi sudut tarikan konduktor nya. Bahan baku pembuatan tiang beton untuk tiang tegangan menengah dan tegangan rendah adalah sama, hanya dimensinya yang berbeda.<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<ol style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;\" start=\"2\" type=\"A\">\n<li style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Menentukan Panjang Tiang <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/-_cE_NjUHxKA\/VNaT9newj-I\/AAAAAAAAIPU\/xVc2Fz8Kpr4\/s1600-h\/clip_image00142.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"clip_image001[4]\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/-vW80kOqtHcM\/VNaT_9BjQJI\/AAAAAAAAIPs\/jWmiCd-3j9k\/clip_image0014_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800\" alt=\"clip_image001[4]\" width=\"376\" height=\"491\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\">Gambar 4-1. Konstruksi Tiang Beton<\/p>\n<p>Pada jaringan tegangan rendah yang menggunakan tiang bersama dengan jaringan tegangan menengah maka jarak gawang (Span) harus di jaga agar tidak lebih dari 60 meter. Di dalam menentukan panjang tiang beberapa faktor yang harus dipertimbangkan adalah; 1) jarak aman antara saluran tegangan menengah dan tegangan rendah, 2) Posisi trafo tiang, dan 3) tinggi rendahnya trafo dengan penyangga dua tiang.<\/p>\n<p>Gambar 4-2 menunjukkan jarak aman yang diperlukan untuk menentukan panjang tiang. Pada gambar tersebut diperlihatkan bahwa panjang tiang minimum untuk tegangan menengah 11 meter (9,2 meter diatas tanah) dan untuk tegangan rendah 9 meter ( 7,5 meter diatas tanah).<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<ol style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;\" start=\"3\" type=\"A\">\n<li style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Jarak Aman Tiang Tegangan Rendah <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Dari tabel 5-1 disebutkan bahwa tiang 9 meter type 200 daN dapat digunakan sampai jarak tiang 60 meter, sedang tiang 9 meter type 100 daN dapat digunakan terbatas sampai jarak tiang 40 meter, bahkan lebih pendek dengan pengurangan beban kawat, karena batas ketahanan momen hampir nol pada pada jarak(span) 40 meter. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<ol style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;\" start=\"4\" type=\"A\">\n<li style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Merencanakan dan mempersiapkan mendirikan tiang <\/span><\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;\">Untuk menentukan jumlah (kebutuhan) dan jenis tiang pada suatu lokasi, diperlukan data survai jaringan yang akan dipasang. Dari gambar situasi jaringan dapat ditentukan jenis dan perlengkapan tiang untuk lokasi tersebut, yaitu jumlah tiang TR dan penunjangnya. Tiang beton untuk Tegangan Rendah digunakan ukuran 9 meter, Gambar 4-5 dan gambar berikutnya menunjukkan konstruksi tiang beton dengan perlengkapannya sesuai dengan kebutuhan di lokasi.<\/p>\n<p>Telah diuraikan diatas, jarak antar tiang ditetapkan sebesar 40-60 meter, namun jarak tersebut masih perlu disesuaikan dengan kondisi lokasi (masih bisa digeser). Dari gambar situasi jaringan dapat ditentukan jenis dan perlengkapan yang diperlukan (Material Distribusi Utama) untuk lokasi tersebut, yaitu jumlah tiang beton, konduktor, Kabel tanah dan Udara, serta isolator dan perlengkapannya.<\/p>\n<p>Setelah mengetahui jumlah tiang beton yang diperlukan, selanjut-nya mempersiapkan peralatan minimal yang diperlukan (yang harus disediakan oleh pemborong) untuk pekerjaan mendirikan tiang adalah sebagai berikut:<br \/>\na. Tool kit lengkap g. Kantong kerja<br \/>\nb. Sabuk Pengaman h. Tas kerja<br \/>\nc. Derek-tangan i. Topi pengaman<br \/>\nd. Besi kaki tiga j. Tampar 16 mm<br \/>\ne. Bor tanah k. Linggis dan lain-lain.<br \/>\nf. Gerobak (untuk mengangkut tiang) l.
