Tidak ketinggalan pemanfaatan energi hidrolik dalam bidang teknik mesin maupun teknik otomotif. Dalam bidang teknik mesin, penggunaan sistem hidrolik sudah memasuki berbagai peralatan misalnya mesin pres hidrolik, mesin milling hidrolik, elevating platform ( meja pengangkat), rocking lever ( tuas pengayun), meja pengangkat untuk mengisi dan mengeluarkan, alat-alat pengangkut dan penyortir, gerakan pada jalur pendingin dan sebagainya pada industri baja merupakan sedikit contoh aplikasi sistem hidrolik.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu masih pada industri baja, jalur \u201dpemotong besi strip\u201d yang serba otomatik juga menggunakan sistem hidrolik. Pada mesin perkakas, sistem hidrolik sangat luas digunakan. Ciri yang menonjol dari sistem hidrolik pada saat ini adalah kepresisian dan energinya yang sangat besar.<\/p>\n<p>Bahkan pada peralatan produksi yang digunakan secara luas, hasil optimum dapat dicapai pada tingkat yang mengagumkan dengan sistem yang telah teruji.<\/p>\n<p>Jika kita menggunakan telepon, memegang botol larutan pencuci atau jika kita melihat anak bermain dengan mainan plastik, kita jarang ingat pada permesinan yang memproduksi peralatan rumah tangga itu. Ada beribu-ribu mesin untuk pemrosesan bahan plastik, dan mesin-mesin tersebut dilengkapi dengan sistem-sistem perpindahan energi secara hidrolik untuk gerakan plat, untuk pemegang perkakas kerja, dan untuk penyetelan gaya dan kecepatan penutup.<\/p>\n<p>Pada alat-alat pengangkat di pelabuhan atau di pabrik-pabrik, perangkat hidrolik melakukan gerakan menyisir dan pengangkatan roda gigi atau pada mekanisme-mekanisme perputaran peralatan tersebut.
