Sistem proteksi pengontrolan motor.<\/p>\n<p>Dari gambar 3-1, sistem proteksi pengontrolan motor mempunyai dua, dimana masing-masing akan memproteksi arus yang berbeda, maka batas penyetelan pemutusan arus tidak sama besar.<br \/>\nProteksi dari sumber tegangan dengan sekering, baik untuk rangkaian daya maupun untuk rangkaian kontrol. Fungsi sekering dapat diganti dengan MCB, lihat gambar 3-1. Keandalan TOL (thermal over load) sebagai alat proteksi adalah besaran arus proteksi dapat disetel mengacu kepada arus nominal motor.<\/p>\n<p>Kontaktor-kontaktor magnet dari gambar 3-1, selain sebagai saklar, juga berfungsi sebagai proteksi tegangan nol. Dimana bila ke kumparannya tidak bertegangan, maka kontaktor akan memutus hubungan ke beban. Hal ini akan terjadi apabila sistem kontrol tersambar petir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pembumian Motor<\/strong><br \/>\nSistem pentanahan suatu motor listrik seperti diperlihatkan pada gambar 3-2, adalah peralatan proteksi motor terhadap tegangan sentuh dan sambaran petir. Apabila baut pengikat kabel pentanahan dari gambar 3-2, tidak terikat kencang akan terjadi pengapian saat badan motor tersentuh tegangan yang disebabkan oleh kegagalan isolasi motor atau motor disambar petir.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/01\/image_thumb1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image_thumb[1]\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/01\/image_thumb1_thumb.png\" alt=\"image_thumb[1]\" width=\"250\" height=\"241\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 2-2. Kabel Pentanahan Motor<\/p>\n<p>Akibat ikatan baut pentanahan tidak sempurna mengakibatkan resistansi pentanahan tambah besar, apabila badan motor tersentuh tegangan seperti tersebut di atas dan badan motor itu disentuh manusia, maka tegangan pentanahan yang tidak baik akan mengalirkan arus melalui tubuh manusia yang besarannya dapat berakibatkan fatal. Oleh sebab itu, periksa kabel pentanahan motor, terutama kekencangan ikatan sambungan kabel seperti terlihat pada gambar 3-2.
