{"id":1329,"date":"2024-06-04T02:35:13","date_gmt":"2024-06-03T19:35:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/?p=1329"},"modified":"2024-05-31T07:51:05","modified_gmt":"2024-05-31T00:51:05","slug":"single-phase-power-measurement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/single-phase-power-measurement\/","title":{"rendered":"Single Phase Power Measurement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"notranslate\">Measurement of power on the system backflow Janis power can be divided into three, namely<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> &#8211; Apparent power (S) measured in VA or kVA<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> &#8211; Active Power (P) which is measured in watts or kW<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> &#8211; Reactive Power (Q) measured in VAR or kVAR<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> The relationship between the three power can be explained easily by the power triangle, as follows:<\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/01\/image-24.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/01\/image_thumb-25.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"318\" height=\"132\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Figure 7.1 Diagram Power Triangle<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> In accordance with the Law of Pythagoras, the third link of the power can be determined mathematically as follows:<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Cos \u03b1 = Power On \/ Power Semu<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Sin \u03b1 = Reactive Power \/ Power Semu<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> From the above two equations we can turn into:<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Active Power = Power apparent x Cos \u03b1<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Pseudo Power = Power On \/ Cos \u03b1<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Reactive Power = Power x Sin \u03b1 Semu<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> So, if the two parameters are known, the other parameters can be determined.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> When the apparent power is known and large phase difference between the active power and apparent power is known, the value of active power can be determined.<\/span> <span class=\"notranslate\"> For example, note the apparent power S = 50 kVA, and the angle of the phase difference of 60 degree arc, then the active power P = 50 kVA x cos 600 = 25 kW<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Another example, note the apparent power S = 50 kVA, and Active Power P = 25 kW, then the reactive power kVAr<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> Measurement of apparent power (Q) can be easily done by measuring voltages and currents in an alternating current circuit as shown in Figure 7.2.<\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/01\/image-27.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/01\/image_thumb-27.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"287\" height=\"130\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> Figure 7.2 Series of Power Measurement Semu (S) Direct<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Measurement of power on the system backflow Janis power can be divided into three, namely &#8211; Apparent power (S) measured<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[2232],"tags":[1861,1869,1863,1862,1868,1865,1864,1867,1866,1870],"class_list":["post-1329","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-english","tag-single-phase-power","tag-single-phase-power-box","tag-single-phase-power-calculation","tag-single-phase-power-factor","tag-single-phase-power-factor-correction","tag-single-phase-power-line","tag-single-phase-power-meter","tag-single-phase-power-monitor","tag-single-phase-power-solutions","tag-single-phase-power-transformer"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.9 -
