Sumber energi adalah segala sesuatu yang menghasilkan energi, yang diklasifikasi menjadi sumber energi yang terbarukan dan sumber energi tidak terbarukan. Energi memiliki berbagai bentuk seperti energi potensial, energi kinetik, energi mekanik, energi listrik, dan lain lain. Sesuai dengan hukum kekekalan energi, energi tidak dapat dihilangkan, tetapi hanya dapat dipindahkan atau diubah menjadi energi lain.<\/p>\n<p>Sebelum berlanjut ke masalah yang lebih substansial, ada satu masalah yang kadang masih menimbulkan kebingungan dalam pemahaman antara istilah listrik (electricity) dan elektronik (electronic). Electronic merupakan cabang dari ilmu fisika yang mencakupi perangai dan dampak dari adanya pergerakan atau perpindahan elektron di dalam tabung vakum (vacuum tube), perilaku gas, dan bahan semikonduktor. Sedang listrik merupakan cabang ilmu fisika menyangkut fenomena alam.<\/p>\n<p>Listrik dapat diketahui hanya melalui dampak atau efek yang ditimbulkan oleh muatan listrik, arus listrik, medan listrik, dan magnet listrik. Listrik biasanya mengacu kepada pembangkitan tenaga listrik, transmisi tenaga listrik, dan pemanfaatan tenaga listrik. Sedang elektronik biasanya berhubungan dengan penggunaan listrik daya rendah (arus lemah) untuk mengontrol rangkaian atau sirkit berdaya besar (arus kuat).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Konsep Arus Listrik<\/strong><br \/>\nListrik merupakan cabang ilmu fisika menyangkut fenomena alam. Sehingga untuk memperdalam energi listrik, maka perlu menyelami fenomena alam yang dikenal dengan listrik statis.
