A. Teori Thevenin<\/strong>

B. Teori Norton<\/strong>
\nSuatu rangkaian aktif, linier dan reisistif yang mengandung satu atau lebih sumber tegangan atau sumber arus dapat diganti dengan sebuah sumber arus dan sebuah tahanan yang diparalel dengan sumber arus. Untuk menghitung sumber arus beban dilepas lalu dicari arus hubung singkat. Sedangkan untuk menghitung tahanan pengganti caranya sama dengan mencari tahanan pengganti Thevenin. Antara teori Thevenin dan Norton mempunyai hubungan yang sangat erat.<\/p>\n

Jika rangkaian pengganti Thevenin sudah dihitung maka rangkaian pengganti Norton mudah ditentukan. Misalnya rangkaian pengganti Thevenin di atas diganti Norton menjadi seperti Gambar 4.14 berikut ini.
