Ketika kita membicarakan mengenai listrik maka di dalam bayangan kita adalah adanya pergerakan atau perpindahan elektron bebas (arus elektron) secara kontinyu. <\/p>\n<p>Untuk keperluan praktis, maka arus pergerakan elektron lazim disebut sebagai arus listrik, tetapi dengan kesepakatan bahwa arah arus elektron searah dengan pergerakan elektron, sedang arah arus listrik berlawanan dengan arah arus elektron, seperi diperlihatkan dalam Gambar 1.14.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/08\/image9.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/08\/image_thumb8.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"313\" height=\"167\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 1.14 Arus elektron dan arus listrik<\/p>\n<p>Untuk menghasilkan arus listrik yang berdaya guna atau bermanfaat seperti yang kita rasakan dalam kehidupan kita sehari-hari, maka harus diproduksi aliran elektron yang konstan dan kontinyu.<\/p>\n<p>Perpindahan elektron dapat terjadi dalam beberapa cara, tetapi yang paling penting adalah melalui tiga cara, yakni gesekan, kimiawi, dan induksi magnet.
