Medan listrik adalah daerah di sekitar benda bermuatan listrik yang masih dipengaruhi oleh gaya listrik. Garis gaya listrik tidak pernah berpotongan. Semakin rapat garis gaya listrik, semakin kuat medan listriknya. Gambar 1.10 memperlihatkan interaksi garis-garis gaya listrik yang terjadi pada dua benda yang bermuatan.
