Bila anoda diberi muatan positip dan katoda diberi muatan negatip, maka arus akan mengalir (lampu menyala), sebaliknya jika anoda diberi muatan negatip dan katoda diberi muatan positip, maka arus tidak mengalir. Arah gerakan arus yang mengalir ini dinamai arah gerak maju atau forward direction. Arah gerakan tanpa aliran arus ini dinamai arah gerak tentang atau revers direction.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/image-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/image_thumb-3.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"304\" height=\"97\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nArus DC melalui Dioda<\/p>\n<p>Dioda dapat digunakan untuk menyearahkan arus AC menjadi arus DC.Ada dua macam penyearah dioda yaitu penyearah setengah gelombang dan penyearah gelombang penuh. Pada Gambar di bawah ini memperlihatkan rangkaian penyearah setengah gelombang.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/image-5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/image_thumb-5.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"304\" height=\"199\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nRangkaian Penyearah Setengah Gelombang<\/p>\n<p>Bila saklar S ditutup pada belitan sekunder akan diinduksikan tegangan bolak-balik. Pada saat t1 sampai t2 tegangan ujung A sedang positip sehingga pada setengah perioda ini dioda akan dilewati arus I. Arus ini akan melewati tahanan RL, sehingga antara ujung-ujung C dan D terjadi tegangan sebanding dengan besarnya arus. Pada saat t2 \u2013 t3ujung A negatif, dioda menerima tegangan revers, pada tahanan RL akan mengalir arus revers, arus ini besarnya hanya beberapa mikroamper ( ), oleh karena itu diabaikan, sehingga pada ujung-ujung RL tidak ada tegangan.<\/p>\n<p>Rangkaian penyearah gelombang penuh diperlihatkan pada gambar bawah ini.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/image-7.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/image_thumb-6.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"301\" height=\"174\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nRangkaian penyearah gelombang penuh<\/p>\n<p>Rangkaian penyearah gelombang penuh dengan sistim jembatan ini paling banyak digunakan sebagai sumber tenaga dari pesawat-pesawat elektronika. Penyearah sistim jembatan ini memerlukan empat buah dioda.
