Tetapi betapapun juga sifat-sifat rangkaian parallel harus dipahami dengan benar oleh para teknisi\/mekanik lapangan. Arus yang ditarik oleh setiap cabang rangkaian parallel ditentukan oleh resistan yang ada pada cabang rangkaian. Arus total yang ditarik oleh rangkaian parallel merupakan jumlah seluruh arus cabang.<\/p>\n<p>Arus pada setiap cabang parallel dapat dihitung menggunakan hokum Ohm, bila resistannya diketahui. Tegangan pada setiap cabang parallel selalu sama, tegangan di dalam rangkaian parallel dinyatakan dalam persamaan berikut:<br \/>\n<strong>Ut = U1 = U2 = U3 = U4 = \u2026\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nilai resistan total atau resistan ekivalen (RT) dari rangkaian paralel akan lebih kecil nilai resistan terkecil yang ada dalam rangkaian paralel. Secara matematika dapat dituliskan sebagai berikut :<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/09\/image34.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/09\/image_thumb35.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"176\" height=\"52\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Karena tegangan jatuh pada setiap beban yang ada dalam cabang parallel sama, maka arus yang diterima oleh setiap beban yang ada dalam setiap cabang parallel akan berubah tergantung nilai resistan beban. Arus pada setia cabang berbanding terbalik dengan nilai resistannya. Hal ini dinyatakan dalam persamaan berikut:<br \/>\n<strong>It = I1 + I2 + I3 + I4 + &#8230;&#8230;..<\/strong><br \/>\nHukum Ohm dapat digunakan untuk menghitung parameter setiap elemen yang ada dalam rangkaian seri atau rangkaian total. Gambar 3.41 memperlihatkan rangkaian paralel yang terdiri atas dua elemen pemanas yang memiliki resistansi dengan nilai yang berbeda. Perhitungan resistan total, arus, dan tegangan jatuh pada setiap beban pemanas dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan Hukum Ohm sebagai berikut:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/09\/image43.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none;
