Penerapan teori Transformasi segitiga bintang atau sebaliknya dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut di atas. Jaringan yang komplek seperti itu dapat disederhanakan dengan mengganti cabang-cabang atau rangkaian yang tersambung segitiga dengan rangkaian yang tersambung dalam bintang yang ekivalen dengan rangkaian segitiganya atau sebaliknya.<\/p>\n<p>Misalnya diketahui tiga buah resistor R12, R23 dan R31 tersambung dalam segitiga seperti gambar berikut ini :<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/image42.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/image_thumb42.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"243\" height=\"159\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 4.7 Sambungan Delta<\/p>\n<p>Rangkaian segitiga seperti di atas dapat diganti dengan rangkaian bintang dengan R1, R2 dan R3 di mana kedua rangkaian tersebut ekivalen.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/image44.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/elektro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/10\/image_thumb44.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"176\" height=\"179\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 4.8 Sambungan Star<\/p>\n<p>Kedua macam sambungan tersebut di atas dikatakan ekivalen secara listrik, jika resistor yang diukur antara setiap pasang terminal mempunyai harga yang samabagi kedua macam sambungan tersebut. Perhatikan sambungan segitiga, antara terminal 1 dan 2 terdapat dua jalur parallel, yaitu antara R12 paralel dengan jumlah (R23 + R31).
