Kopling fluida sangat cocok untuk mentransmisikan putaran tinggi dan daya besar. keuntungan dari kopling ini adalah bahwa getaran dari sisi penggerak dan tumbukan dari sisi beban tidak saling diteruskan. demikian pada pembebanan lebih, penggerak mulanya tidak akan terkena momen yang melebihi batas kemampuan.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/industri\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/image-16.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/industri\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/04\/image_thumb-16.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"290\" height=\"189\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 3.49 Bagan kopling fluida<\/p>\n<p>Umur mesin dan peralatan yang dihubungkan akan menjadi lebih panjang dibandingkan dengan pemakaian kopling tetapbiasa diameter poros juga dapat diambil lebih kecil. startdapat dilakukan lebih mudah dan percepat dapat berlangsung dengan halus, karena kopling dapat diatur sedemikian rupa hingga penggerak mula diputar terlebih dahulu sampai mencapai momen maksimumnya dan baru setelah itu momen diteruskan kepada poros yang di gerakan.<\/p>\n<p>Jika beberapa kopling fluida dipakai untuk menghubungkan beberapa penggerak mula secara serentak, distribusi beban yang merata di antara mesin-mesin penggerak mula tersebut dapat diperoleh dengan mudah. Cara yang terakhir ini dipakai padakopling dengan kapasitas besar dan mesin berputaran tinggi.
