Gerbang EX-OR hanya akan memiliki keluaran Q=\u201d1\u201d bila masukan-masukan A dan B memiliki kondisi berbeda. Pada gambar 3.19 yang merupakan gambar rangkaian listrik ekivalen EX-OR diperlihatkan bahwa bila saklar A dan B masing-masing diputus (off), maka lampu akan mati. Bila saklar A dan B masing-masing dihubungkan (on), maka lampu juga mati.<\/p>\n<p>Bila saklar A dihubungkan (on) sedangkan saklar B diputus (off), maka lampu akan menyala. Demikian pula sebaliknya bila saklar A diputus (off) dan saklar B dihubungkan (on) maka lampu akan menyala. Sehingga bisa disimpulkan bahwa lampu akan menyala hanya bila kondisi saklar A dan B berlawanan.
