Pada pipa venture, pemercepat aliran fluida dilakukan dengan cara membentuk corong sehingga aliran masih dapat dijaga agar tetap laminar. Sensor tekana pertama (P<sub>1<\/sub>) diletakkan pada sudut tekanan pertama dan sensor tekanan kedua diletakkan pada bagian yang plaing menjorok ke tengah. Pipa venturi biasa dipergunakan untuk mengukur aliran cairan. Keuntungan dari pipa venturi adalah:<br \/>\n1.Partikel padatan masih melewati alat ukur<br \/>\n2. Kapasitas aliran cukup besar<br \/>\n3. Pengukuran tekana lebih baik dibandingkan orifice plate.<br \/>\n4. Tahan terhadapa gesakan fluida.<\/p>\n<p>Kerugiannya adalah:<br \/>\n1. Ukuiran menjadi lebih besar<br \/>\n2. Lebih mahal dari orifice plate<br \/>\n3. Tekanan P<sub>2<\/sub> lebih kecil dibandingkan P<sub>1<\/sub>. Sensor jenis ini memiliki keunggulan dibanding venture dan orifice plate yaitu:<br \/>\n1. Masih dapat melewatkan padatan<br \/>\n2. Kapasitas aliran cukup besar<br \/>\n3. Mudah dalam pemasangan<br \/>\n4. Tahan terhadap gesekan fluida<br \/>\n5. Beda tekanan yang diperoleh lebih besar daripada pipa venturi<br \/>\n6.
