Pengkondisian sinyal dibagi menjadi dua bagian, yaitu pengkondisi sinyal secara analog dan secara digital. Pengkondisian secara analog menghasilkan sinyal keluaran yang masih merepresentasikan sinyal analog yang variabel. Pada aplikasi pemrosesan digital, beberapa pengkondisi sinyal analog tertentu dilakukan sebelum konversi analog ke digital dikerjakan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/industri\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/image32.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/industri\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2015\/09\/image_thumb32.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"180\" height=\"390\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gambar 2.22 Linearisasi pada Sinyal yang Tidak Linear<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pengkondisian Sinyal Analog<br \/>\n<\/strong>Sebuah sensor menghasilkan nilai variabel dalam besaran listrik setelah melewati proses konversi. Tentunya besar sinyal ini bergantung terhadap karakteristik materialnya. Agar sinyal yang dihasilkan oleh sebuah sensor sesuai dengan yang diinginkan maka kita harus mengkonversinya setelah didapatkan keluarannya. Kita tidak bisa merubah karakteristik material didalamnya, karena tentunya sensor tersebut sudah menjadi satu kesatuan yang terintegrasi.<\/p>\n<p>Hanya industri pembuat sensor tersebut yang mampu merubahnya, karena kita hanya sebagai pemakai sensor tersebut dan bukan kita sendiri yang membuatnya. Sehingga hanya ada pilihan yang sedikit untuk kita terapkan ke sistem kontrol nantinya. Sebagai contoh adalah cadmium sulfida mempunyai nilai resistansi yang bervariasi yang berkebalikan dan tidak linear berdasarkan intensitas cahaya. Pengkondisi sinyal secara analog diperlukan dalam kasus ini untuk merubah sinyal yang dihasilkan tersebut untuk dihubungkan dengan komponen lain dalam sisten kontrol.<\/p>\n<p>Tentunya konversi ini dilakukan secara elektris. Kita sering menguraikan bahwa akibat dari pengkondisian sinyal membentuk suatu transfer fungsi tertentu.
