Rangkaian terdiri dari dua buah saklar yang terpasang secara parallel, sebuah relay dan lampu. Lampu akan menyala bila salah satu atau ke dua saklar A dan B dihubungkan (on). Sebaliknya lampu hanya akan padam bila semua saklar A dan B diputus (off).
