{"id":1426,"date":"2024-07-03T04:43:44","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T21:43:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/?p=1426"},"modified":"2024-07-02T08:38:23","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T01:38:23","slug":"indeks-viskositas-viscosity-index","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/indeks-viskositas-viscosity-index\/","title":{"rendered":"Indeks Viskositas (Viscosity Index)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yang dimaksud dengan indeks viskositas atau viscosity index ( VI ) ialah angka yang menunjukkan rentang perubahan viskositas dari suatu cairan hidrolik berhubungan dengan perubahan suhu. Dengan demikian viscosity index ini digunakan sebagai dasar dalam menentukan karakteristik kekentalan cairan hidrolik berhubungan dengan perubahan temperatur. Mengenai viskositas indeks ini ditetapkan dalam DIN ISO 2909. Cairan hidrolik dikatakan memiliki viscositas index tinggi apabila terjadinya perubahan viskositas kecil (stabil) dalam rentang perubahan suhu yang relatif besar.<\/p>\n<p>Atau dapat dikatakan bahwa cairan hidrolik ini dapat digunakan dalam rentang perubahan suhu yang cukup besar. Cairan hidrolik terutama oli hidrolik diharapkan memiliki viscosity index (VI) = 100. Bahkan kebanyakan oli hidrolik diberi tambahan bahan (additives) yang disebut \u201c VI improvers \u201c untuk meningkatkan VI menjadi lebih tinggi dari 100. Oli hidrolik dengan indeks viskositas tinggi juga disebut multigrade oils. Untuk mengetahui perubahan viskositas ini perhatikan Ubbelohde\u201fs viscosity \u2013 temperature diagram berikut ini (gambar 3).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/12\/image-28.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2016\/12\/image_thumb-26.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"257\" height=\"271\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 3. Ubbelohde\u201fs viscosity \u2013temperature diagram<\/p>\n<p>Cairan hidrolik harus memiliki karakteristik tertentu agar dapat memenuhi persyaratan dalam menjalankan fungsinya. Karakteristik atau sifat-sifat yang diperlukan antara lain adalah :<br \/>\n<strong>A. Kekentalan (Viskositas ) yang cukup.<\/strong><br \/>\nCairan hidrolik harus memiliki kekentalan yang cukup agar dapat memenuhi fungsinya sebagai pelumas. Apabila viskositas terlalu rendah maka film oli yang terbentuk akan sangat tipis sehingga tidak mampu untuk menahan gesekan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>B. Indeks Viskositas yang baik.<\/strong><br \/>\nDengan viscosity index yang baik maka kekentalan cairan hidrolik akan stabil digunakan pada sistem dengan perubahan suhu kerja yang cukup fluktuatif.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C. Tahan api ( tidak mudah terbakar )<\/strong><br \/>\nSistem hidrolik sering juga beroperasi di tempat-tempat yang cenderung timbul api atau berdekatan dengan api. Oleh karena itu perlu cairan yang tahan api.<\/p>\n<p><strong>D. Tidak berbusa ( Foaming )<\/strong><br \/>\nBila cairan hidrolik banyak berbusa akan berakibat banyak gelembung-gelembung udara yang terperangkap dalam cairan hidrolik sehingga akan terjadi compressable dan akan mengurangi daya transfer. Disamping itu, dengan adanya busa tadi kemungkinan terjilat api akan lebih besar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>E. Tahan dingin<\/strong><br \/>\nYang dimaksud dengan tahan dingin adalah bahwa cairan hidrolik tidak mudah membeku bila beroperasi pada suhu dingin. Titik beku atau titik cair yang kehendaki oleh cairan hidrolik berkisar antara 100 \u2013 150 C di bawah suhu permulaan mesin dioperasikan ( start-up ). Hal ini untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya block (penyumbatan) oleh cairan hidrolik yang membeku.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F. Tahan korosi dan tahan aus.<\/strong><br \/>\nCairan hidrolik harus mampu mencegah terjadinya korosi karena dengan tidak terjadi korosi maka konstruksi akan tidak mudah aus dengan kata lain mesin akan awet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>G. De mulsibility ( Water separable )<\/strong><br \/>\nYang dimaksud dengan de-mulsibility adalah kemampuan cairan hidrolik untuk memisahkan air dari cairan hidrolik. Mengapa air harus dipisahkan dari cairan hidrolik, karena air akan mengakibatkan terjadinya korosi bila berhubungan dengan logam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>H. Minimal compressibility<\/strong><br \/>\nSecara teorotis cairan adalah uncompressible (tidak dapat dikompres). Tetapi kenyataannya cairan hidrolik dapat dikompres sampai dengan 0,5 % volume untuk setiap penekanan 80 bar.
