Pada modul Hidrolik ini akan dibahas macam-macam fixed displacement pumps.
\na. Pompa Roda gigi (External Gear Pump)<\/strong>
\nPompa roda gigi luar terdiri atas bagian utama yaitu :
\n\uf0b7 – Rumah pompa
\n\uf0b7 – Sepasang roda gigi luar yang bertautan secara presisi di dalam rumah pompa tersebut
\n\uf0b7 – Penggerak mula (prime mover) yang porosnya dikopel dengan poros driver gear.<\/p>\n

Dari perputaran sepasang roda gigi terjadilah daya hisap (tanda kotak) kemudian cairan (oli) ditangkap di antara celah gigi dan rumah pompa dan diteruskan ke saluran tekan (outlet). Gambar 5 berikut menunjukkan external gear pump.

Dapat kita lihat bahwa tekanan yang cukup besar terjadi pada sisi saluran tekan yang juga akan berakibat menekan pada poros roda gigi dan bearingnya. Hal ini akan menjadikan gesekan mekanik pada bearing pun semakin besar.Juga akan terjadi tekanan lebih seal (perapat) pada poros. Untuk mengatasi hal ini maka dibuatlah drain duct (saluran pencerat) untuk mengurangi tekanan lebih.<\/p>\n

b. Pompa roda gigi dalam tipe CRESCENT.<\/strong>
\nPompa ini cocok untuk tekanan tinggi dan untuk cairan hidrolik yang bervariasi. Ukurannya lebih kecil dari external gear pump pada penghasilan pompa yang sama dan tingkat kebisingannya lebih kecil. Seperti external gear pump, pompa ini juga termasuk pressure unbalanced. Cara kerja pompa ini dapat dilihat pada gambar 6 berikut ini :

Keterangan gambar:
\n1. Saluran oli masuk ( inlet)
\n2. Oli masuk oleh sedotan roda gigi yang berputar.
\n3. Penyedotan terjadi kerena adanya rongga antara gigi iner dan outer ring gear
\n4. Terjadinya penyedotan di ruang No: 4 ini.
\n5. Di titik No 5 ini oli didesak\/ditekan oleh pasangan gigi.
\n6. Saluran tekan ( outlet )<\/p>\n

c. Pompa roda gigi dalam type gear-rotor<\/strong>
\nPompa ini terdiri atas inner rotor yang dipasak dengan poros penggerak dan rotor ring. Rotor ring atau outer rotor yang merupakan roda gigi dalam diputar oleh inner rotor yang mempunyai jumlah gigi satu lebih kecil dari jumlah gigi outer ring gear. Ini bertujuan untuk membentuk rongga pemompaan. Inner rotor dan outer rotor berputar searah.
