Untuk menjumlah gaya yang mempunyai lebih dari dua gaya dengan titik tangkap sama dan arah berlainan dapat ditentukan dengan cara lukisan kutub , caranya yaitu sebagai berikut :
\nBuat lukisan komponen gaya sesuai dengan arah dan besar gaya yang telah diskala ;
\nBuat titik kutub O disebelah kanan susunan gaya tersebut
\no Pindahkan F1 sejajar dan sama panjang pada titik O ;
\no Pindahkan F2 sejajar dan sama panjang pada ujung F1 ;
\no Hubungkan titik kutub O dengan ujung gaya F2 sehingga didapat jumlah F1 + F2 = R1 ;
\no Pindahkan F3 pada Ujung gaya F2 atau ujung gaya R1 ;
\no Hubungkan titik kutub O dengan ujung F3 , sehingga didapat R2 ;
\no Pindahkan F4 sejajar dan sama panjang pada lukisan kutub yaitu pada ujung R2 atau Ujung gaya F3 ;
\no Hubungkan titik kutub O dengan ujung gaya F4 atau R2 sehingga didapat R3 atau R , R adalah resultan atau jumlah gaya R2 + F4 =R.
