Sebuah gaya yang mempunyai arah tertentu diuraikan terhadap sumbu X dan sumbu Y , Jika komponen gaya tersebut mempunyai lebih dari satu gaya , maka gaya-gaya lainnya dapat diuraikan juga , sehingga resultan pada sumbu X (Rx) maupun resultan pada sumbu Y (Ry) dapat ditentukan dengan mudah .<\/p>\n<p>Dengan Rx dan Ry yang tertentu maka Resultannya ( R ) dapat ditentukan baik besarnya maupun arahnya .
