Thermostat<\/strong><br \/>\nThermostat merupakan piranti pengontrol suhu cabinet atau suhu ruang yang bekerja secara otomatik. Piranti ini akan memutuskan motor kompresor (cut off) dari jala-jala tegangan listrik, jika suhu ruang sudah mencapa nilai preset dan akan menghubungkan motor kompresor ke jala-jala tegangan (restart), jika suhu ruang berada di atas niai yang diinginkan. Suhu cut off dapat diatur dengan memutar suatu knop hingga mencapai harga batas yang diinginkan.<\/p>\n<p>Pada umumnya Thermostat didisain dengan konstruksi yang kompak.Semua bagian dari logam dibuat dari logam anti karat (Stainless steel atau Zinc plated). Biasanya Elemen pendeteksi suhu berupa bulb yang berisi gas refrigerant tertentu terhubung ke suatu membrane (bellow) melalui pipa kapiler. Tipe sakelar ada 2 jenis, yaitu SPST, atau SPDT, di mana kontak sakelar akan menutup bila suhu bulb naik. Kekuatan hantar arus kontak thermostat adalah 6A pada tegangan 240 VAC hingga 20 A pada tegangan 240 VAC.<\/p>\n<p>Cara pemasangan menggunakan dua buah sekerup M4, 55 mm, atau M10. Gambar 2.19 adalah tipikal thermostat standar yang memiliki satu pengaturan yaitu pengaturan range.Thermostat jenis ini lazim digunakan pada refrigerator\/freezer untuk keperluan domestic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image32.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image_thumb33.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"367\" height=\"149\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 2.19 Thermostat mekanik standar<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image36.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image_thumb36.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"252\" height=\"200\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 2.20 Thermostat mekanik yang dilengkapi dua jenis pengaturan (range &amp; differential)<\/p>\n<p>Gambar 2.20 adalah Thermostat mekanik yang dilengkapi dengan dua jenis skala yaitu skala untuk pengaturan Range dan skala untuk pengaturan Differential.Thermostat jenis ini lazim digunakan pada sistem refrigerasi komersial, misalnya display case, dan cold storage. Thermostat tersebut memiliki mekanisme operasi kontak yang kokoh dan tertutup rapat dengan sehingga bebas debu. Suhu cut out dan cut in dapat diatur secara independen karena adanya pengaturan differential.<\/p>\n<p><strong>b. Pressure switch<\/strong><br \/>\nGambar 2.21 memperlihatkan tipikal pressure switch yang lazim digunakan pada peralatan refrigerasi komersial dan industri. Di pasaran tersedia 2 jenis pressure switch, yaitu Single pressure control (low pressure switch, atau high pressure switch), dan double prossure control, (memiliki low &amp; high pressure switch (kanan)). Ada 3 jenis tata susunan kontaknya, yaitu SPST, SPDT, dan DPST. Tabel 2.3 memperlihatkan berbagai simbol sakelar otomatik.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image38.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image_thumb38.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"332\" height=\"159\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 2.21 Pressure Switch<\/p>\n<p>Gambar 2.22 memperlihatkan tipikal penggunaan thermostat dan low pressure control pada unit refrigerasi komersial. Dalam Gambar (a), terlihat katub solenoid (S) dipasang pada saluran refrigeran yang akan masuk ke evaporator sebelum katub ekspansi (refrigerant flow control). Katub solenoid (S) terhubung ke jala-jala tegangan (power line) melalui thermostat (T). Proses kerja sistem ini adalah sebagai berikut: Pada kondisi operasi normal, kontak thermostat tertutup, sehingga solenoid (S) bekerja, refrigerant mengalir masuk ke evaporator melalui katub ekspansi untuk mengatur debitnya.<\/p>\n<p>Jika suhu evaporator semakin rendah, suhu remote bulb juga semakin turun. Jika suhu remote bulb turun sampai titik tertentu, sesuai seting thermostat, maka kontak thermostat terbuka, solenoid tidak aktif, aliran ferigeran ke evaporator berhenti, dan proses pendinginan juga berhenti. Pada Gambar (b), terlihat motor kompresor terhubung ke jala-jala tegangan satu fasa melalui low pressure control. Hal ini dimaksudkan, bila piranti kontrol (low pressure control) mendeteksi tekanan yang sangat rendah di saluran hisap kompresor, akibat suhu refrigerant yang terlalu rendah, maka kontak low pressure control akan terbuka, sehingga motor kompresor berhenti.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image39.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/mesin\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/09\/image_thumb39.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"444\" height=\"222\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 2.22 Tipikal penggunaan thermostat dan Low Pressure control pada unit komersial<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>a.
