Safety becomes an important factor in the work environment in general and specifically the work of installation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment and air system.<\/span> Safety in the workplace referred to in this session included two terms of safety personnel and safety apparatus.<\/span> We know that the refrigeration equipment and procedures udaradapat operate fine when you get supply electrical energy to worthy or qualified.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both devices can operate safely, if the amount of voltage that it receives is always stable.<\/span> The change in voltage of \u00b1 15% of nominal voltage would be harmful to both the equipment, at least two of such equipment will not be able to work optimally.<\/span> Therefore, make sure the system voltage is used for such equipment in top shape, through a series of system checks the voltage using a voltage measuring instrument.<\/span><\/p>\n

So in general, the safety of electrical equipment (including equipment refrigeration & HVAC) depends on two things, namely personnel who handle these operations and the level of accident prevention applied to the electrical system which is used, for example, the device electrical safety right, the system ground that nice, and the standard operating procedures (POS).<\/span> Many results of statistical analysis informs us that 98% of workplace accidents that occur, should be avoided, if we make the effort work safety as well as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

In many cases, work accidents occur due to human error (human error) and damage to the equipment used.<\/span> From the statistics, it is known that 88% of workplace accidents caused by human error and 10% are caused by faulty equipment.<\/span> Efforts to prevent accidents began intensive work done since 1970, with the holding of this world congress, known as OSHA (Occupation Safety and Health Administration).<\/span><\/p>\n

OSHA make rules or regulations governing safety standards in the workplace.<\/span> In addition, OSHA also has the authority to inspect and license products safety equipment.<\/span> Below is given a standardized use of the color, to indicate the level of danger that may be posed, namely:<\/span>
\n (1) Color Red, may be used to indicate the following: protection equipment fire hazards, flammable liquids, pushbutton to stop and emergency.<\/span>
\n (2) The yellow color, may be used to mark the trash \/ waste hazardous, combustible materials, tools are being improved, a sign of the start-up equipment, a starting point and a source of energy from an engine.<\/span>
\n (3) The color orange, may be used to signal the dangerous parts of the machine, press the button safety, mechanical coupling devices, such as gears, pulleys wheels and cutting tools.<\/span>
\n (4) The color purple, may be used to mark a place that has a harmful radiation.<\/span>
\n (5) The color green, to indicate a secure area, and where safety equipment (personal safety).<\/span><\/p>\n

Personal Safety<\/strong><\/span>
\n Experience has shown us that the personal protective equipment that is not good to have contributed to accidents.<\/span> Therefore, personal protective equipment, including one of the safety regulations that must be complied with by all parties, involving the workforce.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each worker must wear the personal protective equipment to protect themselves with standard equipment.<\/span> Figure 1.15 shows the recommended personal protective equipment, and to ensure their use, the following are given some considerations that must be considered when using personal protective equipment, namely:<\/span>
\n (1) Protective head (safety helmet), foot protectors (safety shoes), and eye protection (safety goggles) must be worn when you are in a place that has been arranged.<\/span>
\n (2) ear protectors (safety earmuff) should be worn when positioned at locations with high noise levels.<\/span>
\n (3) Work clothes used to be pretty tight, not loose and must be buttoned.<\/span>
\n (4) Jewelry of metals, gold, silver is not used while working in the area of \u200b\u200belectricity, because these materials are good conductors.<\/span>
\n (5) The hairstyle should be neat, not long left.<\/span><\/p>\n
