{"id":1132,"date":"2024-08-25T02:07:59","date_gmt":"2024-08-24T19:07:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/pangan\/?p=1132"},"modified":"2024-08-21T07:55:44","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T00:55:44","slug":"testing-acidity-water","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/pangan\/testing-acidity-water\/","title":{"rendered":"Testing Acidity In Water"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"notranslate\"><strong>Equipment:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (1) pH meter that has a pH range of 0-14 with a precision of 0.01 and has been calibrated at the time of use.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (2) Buret 25 mL or other titration apparatus with a clear scale.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (3) flask of 100 and 1000 ml.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (4) glass measuring 100 mL.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (5) Pipette size of 10 mL.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (6) Erlenmeyer flask 50 and 250 mL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <strong>Preparation of the test specimen:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (1) Provide the test sample has been taken in accordance with the method pangambilan sample water quality testing.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (2) Measure 200 mL of sample in duplicate and enter it into a 250-ml Erlenmeyer flask.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (3) If the test sample contains chlorine respectively add 2 drops of 0.1 M sodium thiosulfate solution<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (4) Then the sample is ready for testing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> <strong>How acidity test:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (1) Measure 100 mL of sample and put into a 250-ml Erlenmeyer flask.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (2) Add 3 drops of methyl orange indicator.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (3) In the event of orange red color, titration with 0.02 N NaOH solution until the color orange.<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"notranslate\"> (4) In the event of a yellow color, discard the test sample.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"notranslate\"> Table 18.
