Peralatan ini berfungsi mengalirkan lumpur dari mud pit ke rangkaian pipa bor dan naik ke annulus membawa serbuk bor ke permukaan menuju ke solid control equipment, sebelum kembali ke mud pits untuk disirkulasikan kembali. Peralatan ini terdiri dari mud pit, mud pump, pump discharge and return line, stand pipe dan rotary hose. Perlu diketahui bahwa konsumsi energi pompa dalam suatu operasi pengeboran sekitar 70% sampai 85% dari seluruh tenaga yang disediakan oleh prime mover.<br \/>\na. <strong>Pompa lumpur<\/strong> adalah jantung dari circulating system. Fungsi utamanya adalah memindahkan volume lumpur pemboran yang besar dengan tekanan yang besar. Terdapat dua tipe mud pump: (1) Duplex, (2) Triplex.Duplex bekerja double acting dan Triplex bekerja dengan single acting.<br \/>\nb. <strong>Suction tank<\/strong> merupakan tangki yang digunakan untuk menampung lumpur pengeboran yang akan dipakai pada operasi pengeboran.Terletak di depan pompa lumpur.<br \/>\nc. <strong>Suction line<\/strong> merupakan pipa yang dipakai untuk menghubungkan antara suction tank ke pompa lumpur.Pipa ini harus dipasang selurus mungkin.<br \/>\nd. <strong>Discharge line<\/strong> adalah pipa yang dipakai untuk menyalurkan lumpur pengeboran keluar dari pompa lumpur<br \/>\ne. <strong>Stand<\/strong> <strong>pipe<\/strong> merupakan pipa baja yang ditegakkan dimenara secara vertikal disamping dari derrick atau mast untuk menghubungkan discharge line dengan rotary hose dan gooseneck menyambung pada stand pipe.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/01\/image-42.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/01\/image_thumb-42.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"302\" height=\"448\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 4.34. Peralatan Sirkulasi<\/p>\n<p>f. <strong>Rotary hose<\/strong> adalah suatu selang karet bertulang anyaman baja yang lemas dan sangat kuat, yang menghubungkan stand pipe dengan swivel. Selang ini harus elastic, untuk memungkinkan swivel bergerak bebas secara vertikal.Selang ini juga harus sangat kuat untuk tahan lama, karena pekerjaannya yang sangat berat dalam memindahkan fluida pengeboran yang kasar dan bertekanan tinggi itu (sampai 5.000 psi). Selang pemutar ini dapat diperoleh dengan ukuran panjang sampai kurang lebih 75 feet.<br \/>\ng. <strong>Chiksen joint<\/strong> merupakan sambungan yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan stand pipe dengan rotary hose. Alat ini mampu menahan tekanan sampai 5000 psi sehingga sambungan tidak akan terlepas.<br \/>\nh.<strong> Return line<\/strong> adalah pipa yang digunakan untuk menyaluran lumpur pengeboran yang keluar dari lubang Annulus.
