Satuan ukur yang digunakan adalah cm dengan satuan ukur terkecil dalam mm. Pita ukur dapat berupa pita keliling atau pita diameter (phi band).<\/p>\n<p><strong>b) Dasar Kerja<\/strong><br \/>\nPita ukur dililitkan ke batang pohon setinggi 1,30 m (Gambar 32). Hasil ukurannya adalah keliling jika menggunakan pita keliling dan jika menggunakan pita diameter maka hasil ukurannya adalah diameter. Skala ukuran pita diameter adalah k=k\/\u03c0<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/08\/image-26.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/08\/image_thumb-26.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"238\" height=\"368\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nGambar 32. Cara penggunaan pita ukur<\/p>\n<p>Contoh perhitungan :<br \/>\n<strong>(a) Pengukuran dengan pita keliling<\/strong><br \/>\nHasil pengukuran diperoleh keliling batang pohon sebesar 125 cm. Berapa diameter batang pohon tersebut?<br \/>\nJawab!<br \/>\nPerhitungan diameter batang menggunakan rumus konversi :<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/08\/image-28.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/08\/image_thumb-28.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"131\" height=\"207\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Di lapangan, seringkali perhitungan dilakukan konvensional yaitu dengan cara membagi 3 dari hasil pengukuran keliling.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/08\/image-30.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tneutron.net\/sipil\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2016\/08\/image_thumb-30.png\" alt=\"image\" width=\"134\" height=\"72\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cara konvensional akan menghasilkan ukuran diameter lebih besar dibandingkan rumus konversi, yaitu sebesar 1,89 cm. Nilai tersebut diperoleh dari pengurangan diameter hasil perhitungan konvensional terhadap diameter hasil perhitungan konversi, yakni 41,67 cm &#8211; 39,77 cm. Selain itu, hal yang dapat disimpulkan adalah kesalahan pengukuran diameter hasil perhitungan konvensional akan membesar jika keliling batang yang diukur semakin besar pula. Sebaliknya kesalahan akan mengecil, jika keliling batang yang diukur semakin kecil.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(b) Pengukuran dengan pita diameter (phi band)<\/strong><br \/>\nHasil pengukuran dengan phi-ban diperoleh diameter sebesar 75 cm. Dengan demikian, diameter batang pohon yang diukur adalah sebesar 75 cm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(c) Kesalahan ukur diameter atau keliling batang pohon<\/strong><br \/>\nKesalahan ukur karena kedudukan pita melingkar batang tidak sejajar dengan atau tidak sama tinggi terhadap bidang datar. Sehingga lilitan pita tidak membentuk lingkaran, tetapi akan membentuk elips.
