Image projection is a basic drawing techniques to express the shape and size of an object or objects. Image projection that will be studied is an orthogonal projection image which is projected images are often used in the making of working drawings. Projection functions are:
- To get the actual size of the line
- To create the actual shape
- To make working drawings
- Looked over
- Front view
- Sampinh seem right / left
Method of drawing techniques and communicative easiest to draw each part in the design of a product is to draw a side of an object with a straight line in each field. The process is two-dimensional depictions of objects called projection orthography / orthogonal. In geometry, using two orthogonal image plane of projection, ie the vertical and horizontal plane. Orthogonal projection is often referred to as the projected image only or image appears. If an object is described by means of orthogonal projections will result in a field is visible on the field.
The theory of image projection broadly divided into two groups, namely:
a. Projection Europe
These projections assume that the way an object or objects to be drawn or projected as if being in a cube. Each view shows objects that are visible in the field of projection by looking at the object that is closest to the observer.
Projection sequence Europe: the observer, the object, and the field of projection (projection line is pulled away from the observer)
b. Projection America
This projection assumes the opposite way, ie as if the object or objects are outside the cube. American projection principle: the image plane (projection plane) is placed between the eye and the object drawn, being the image area is a clear area of the image, such as glass. Each view shows objects that are visible in the field of projection by looking at the side farthest object to the observer.
American projection sequence: observer, projection plane, and objects (projection line drawn towards the observer)
In the United projection:
- field appears above projections are above,
- field facade projection in the middle,
- projection areas seem to be right on the right, and
- left-field projection appears to be on the left
