One of the most important components in the heavy equipment that filters. Filter is a component that serves to filter out either in the form of air or liquid (oil). Therefore, the filter is composed of several kinds, among others:

1. Air Cleaner
Filters are used to filter the air going into the combustion chamber for combustion processes.

This component consists of two elements, namely the outer element and the inner element (soft filter) which both use the filtering of paper.
In the air cleaner komatsu, these filters are the numbers 1-6 which shows that these filters can be used up to 6 times the cleaning. Air cleaner is equipped with dust indicator as an indicator when there is a deadlock in the filter to show a red color (piston).

2. Fuel Filter

Filters are used to filter the dirty fuel from the fuel tank previously used for the lifting of the combustion system. The shape of the filter cartridge is a lot of wear on heavy equipment. Replacement is performed every 500 HM (hour meter).

3. Oil Filter
The task of the oil filter is rnenyaring dirt, oil contained in order not to participate circulates back into the system. In the oil filter is also mounted by-pass valve that point to give the other way when the filter is clogged. In general, the filter can be divided into two:

Filter Surface
Filter surface has only one surface that can filter out dirt oil that flows in one direction only. This filter is only capable of trapping dirt larger than the pores of the filter holes. Large and heavy dirt will fall and settle on the bottom are small dirt remains lodged in the pores of the filter so that clog pores themselves. At that time the filter should be cleaned or replaced with new ones.

Metal edge filter

Pleated paper filter

Depth filters
Depth filters is very different from the filter surface. Filter material used is very numerous. Oil propagate in all directions in the filter so that dirt will get stuck diserat – fiber filter material and the subsequent oil fell back on the hydraulic system.
