Lubrication Systems

Various functions of the lubrication system is:

a) Establish the film of oil to reduce friction, wear and heat
b) Cooling parts bypassed
c) As the seal between the piston to the cylinder wall
d) Remove the dirt from machine parts
e) Prevent rust on engine parts

Components on the lubrication system
1) Oil Pump
Serves the oil pump to suck oil from the oil pan and then pressed into machine parts. Various oil pump:

a)       Internal gear (1)
b)       Trochoid (2)
c)       External gear (3)

2) System Oil Pressure Regulator
When the oil pump driven by the engine oil pressure will rise, at high speed oil pressure will be excessive and this can cause leaks in the seal-oil seal. To prevent this sort of regulator required that keep the oil pressure to remain constant without being affected by the spin machine. Components that doing this is a relief valve. Note the picture below 4:31.

3) Oil Filter
Oil filter lubrication system serves to separate impurities from the oil. The oil filter bypass valve paired that serves as an alternative channel when the oil filter is clogged. Replacement of oil filter should pay attention to working conditions and long engine operation. Construction oil filter can be seen in the image below 4:34.

Warning:
The quality of lubricating oil is highly dependent on the quality of the filtering by this filter, therefore do the replacement filter periodically in accordance with the operation of the vehicle or the manufacturer’s instructions.

Release:
Use SST to remove filters
Replacement:
Before installing the new filter, fill in the first new oil filter with approximately half of the capacity of the filter.

4) Lamp Oil Pressure Signs
Oil pressure signal lights (oil pressure warning lamp) serves to give a warning to the driver that the lubrication system is not normal and is mounted on the cylinder block to detect the pressure in the oil gallery.
a) Low Oil Pressure

When the engine is off or low oil pressure at the contact point of the oil pressure switch closes so that the warning lamp life (lit)

b) High Oil Pressure
When the engine and oil pressure rises, the oil pressure is pushing diapragma thus opening the contact point and the light is off.

5) Oil Nozzle
Nozzle oil (oil nozzle) serves to cool the inside of the piston. In the oil nozzle check valves are functioning to prevent the oil pressure in the lubrication circuit drops too low (1.4 kg / cm2)

6) Oil Cooler
Oil cooler (oil cooler) are widely used for diesel engine is water-cooled type. Oil cooler serves to cool the oil in order to keep consistency.
