Temperature Maturity

Temperature ceramic fuel directly related to the temperature of maturity, ie the state of ceramic objects that have reached maturity appropriately without changing its form. In order to turn clay into ceramics, the clay must have been formed through the combustion process with temperatures exceeding 600 º C.

After a proficiency level temperature, the clay has been changed into a solid mineral Yanga, hard, and permanent, these changes are called Cheramic change or alteration ceramics. Burnt clay is less than 600 º C does not yet have the proper maturity despite changing ceramics, temperature maturation of vitrified clay or ceramic is a condition that has reached maturity is the right temperature without changing its form.

For that before carrying out the combustion process, it is necessary to know first the type of clay used to form ceramic objects. Temperature maturity clay has a fairly wide range, typically between 50 º C-200 º C. If the clay is burned at low temperatures has been mengkaca this means vitrified clay is low, can be done to fix it by adding kaolin or silica.

Combustion temperatures and extremely influential on the strength of vitrified clay, the increase in temperature (temperature) fuel Earthenware and stoneware clay and strength terhadapvitrifikasi fuel. However, if the fuel temperature has reached a total vitrifikasinya the clay strength will be decreased and even be melting.

In the following picture described the effect of the rise in fuel temperature and strength vitrified clay Earthenware and Stoneware.
