Battery

There are two kinds of power sources for control in GI, is a source of direct current and alternating current source. Power source to control always have to have a high reliability and stability. Due to this requirement a battery used as a source of direct current. There are two macarn battery (battery): lead and alkali. Now it was Black lead batteries are widely used. Alkaline batteries have advantages, for example, because it requires a smaller space, capacity changes as a result of the release of current, smaller, instantaneous current can be high and easy maintenance.

But this kind of battery is rarely used because it is expensive and difficult age estimated. The Japanese standard “direct voltage at the battery terminals is 110 V, and 100 V. The controlled device battery amount is determined by assuming each cell voltage of 2.15 V to the battery lead, and 1.35 to 1.45 V for alkaline batteries. For lead battery hitarn generally worn 52 to 55 cells.

Battery capacity is determined by taking into account all factors related to the decline during use, changes by changes in temperature and voltage drop, the purpose of the capacity required to estimate the burden of continuous and intermittent load (continuous and intermittent load) that must be served during the interruption of normal service, as well as length of service termination (usually 1-3 hours).

The necessary capacity in a state floating (floating) is calculated in the following manner. Floating state is when the battery terminal voltage applied constant charger continuously. Capacity C 1 (Ampere-hours) for instantaneous maximum discharge current i1 (A), and the capacity C2 (Ampere-hours) for a continuous load current i2 (A) at the time of termination of service to t 2 (seconds) and the load current terputus- breaking i3 (A) at the time of termination of service to t 3 (seconds) is calculated.

Filler
As the charger (charger) can be used mercury rectifiers, silicon rectifier, and so on; but due to considerations of efficiency, maintenance and characteristics, which is widely used now is selenium rectifier. There are 2 kinds of filling system, charging system float (floating) and periodic charging system. The first is a system that is widely used for longer battery life, capacity can be fully utilized as well as a small voltage changes. Output current of the charger is usually made around 1.25 times the basic flow of 10 hours from the battery. However, in the case of continuous load current is greater than the current 10-hour basis from the battery, the charger output current is continuous load current plus the base current 10 ½ hours of battery life.
