The Sting of Electric Current

Electric shock and burning body is the general risks faced by personnel working in the field of refrigeration and ventilation. Not possible to do the installation work or troubleshooting refrgerasi and HVAC equipment without connecting the equipment to a power source. It is already the responsibility of the technician / mechanic refrigeration and HVAC think of safe work procedures when working around equipment that is connected to a voltage source without contact with the conductor or other components that are still voltage.

Stung Electric Current
Electric shock can occur when a person becomes part of the electrical circuit. When an electric current passes through the human body, the results can vary from mild to experience the sensation of shock sensations experienced more severe and death. A result that can be caused by electrical shock to a person depend on the electric current flowing through the body, the electrical current path, and a long time.

The technicians must prevent it from his body into the cable section between the phase conductors and neutral wires in an electrical circuit voltage. Our bodies may be part of the electrical circuit through several events. First, our bodies can become part of an electrical circuit when we touch the conductor voltage as shown in Figure 1.2. Visible index finger touching the terminal personnel Box Contacts Fair (CLA) on the phase conductor.

An electric current flowing through the index finger to the next leg through the ground back to the distribution transformer earthing point.

The amount of electric current that can cause serious injury to the human body is very low. The electrical energy that is inserted into an electrical circuit is called electromotive force, measured in volts. In the world of refrigersi and HVAC, the technicians / mechanics is often associated with a voltage of 24 volts, which is commonly applied to the control circuit system of commercial / industrial, 220 volts are used to drive the compressor system residental / domestic, or 380 volts used in the system three phase to drive the compressor on commercial and industrial systems.

The voltage can cause serious injury when the human body. The second way, our bodies can become part of an electrical circuit when we touched two-voltage cables, cable phase and neutral wires or grounding wires (ground) simultaneously.
