Type Internal Combustion Ceramic

There are 2 types of combustion in ceramic, namely the burning of crackers and burning glaze. Burning crackers is a very important step because it is through this burning an object can be referred to as ceramics. Confectionery (bisque) is a term given to the ceramics that have been burnt in the temperature range 700-1000 ° C. Burning the biscuits was enough to make an object to be strong, tough, and water-resistant.

For glazed ceramic objects, burning crackers is an early stage so that the object to be glazed fairly strong and able to absorb glaze optimally.

Burning glaze is a continuation of burning crackers. Biscuit ceramic objects that have been completed glazed then fired at a higher temperature. Glazed ceramic objects usually burned on 1050oC according to the type of ceramic body and glaze types. The main purpose of this combustion is to melt the glaze material so strongly attached to the ceramic body. Temperatures maturity of clay varies according to the type of clay. Generally the type of clay used to make ceramic objects can be distinguished: 
Earthenware (900 ° C-1180 ° C) 
Stoneware (1200 ° C-1300 ° C) 
Porcelain (1250 ° C-1460 ° C)

Burning of ceramic objects from time to time had been developed for the purpose of improvement, either of the type, the way the operation and fuel. Everything is intended to further improve the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity. However, this is highly dependent on local conditions so that the traditional combustion still remain.
