Grounding System Definition

In accordance with PUIL 2000 (General Requirements for Electrical Installations 2000), there are several definitions that need to be addressed:

– Earth (Earth) is the mass of the earth conductive electrical potential at any point according to any convention, equal to zero.
– Electrodes Earth (Earth Electrode) is part of conductive or conductive parts group makes direct contact and provide electrical connection with the earth.
– Disorders of the Earth (Earth Fault) is: Failure isolation between conductor and earth or frame.

– Grounding (Earthing) is connecting an electrical circuit point or a conductor that is not part of the electrical circuit to earth in a certain way.
– Conductor grounding (Earthing Conductor) are:

Soil type
Soil type according PUIL 2000, divided into:

5). Sand and gravel dry,
6). Rocky soil.

Earthing earthing equipment is part of the normal equipment at work, no current passed. The purpose earthing equipment is:
a). To limit the voltage between the parts of equipment that does not flow through and between these parts with earth up to a price that is safe (no harm) for all normal operating conditions.

b). To obtain a small impedance / low of the road behind a short circuit to ground. Accidents on personnel, arise when a short circuit to ground occurs.
