Induction motor consists of two main parts:
- The part that remains, called Stator
- No moving parts, called Rotor
Judging from konstrusi rotor induction motor there are two types:
- Motor rotor cage rotor series of his short circuited.
- Motor cicincin glide (Slip ring motor), has a rotor wrap

The stator consists of three main parts:
1. Frame, is cast or cast steel frame
2. The stator core in the form of special laminated steel sheets to reduce core losses of eddy currents (Eddy current) and pressed directly to the frame, the stator core is made grooves on the inside of the circular to penempatkan winding / stator coils
3. The stator winding comprises three windings are identical to and placed on the winding phase 120 electrical degrees around the stator. Each consisting of a number of coil windings are connected in series and produce the required number of poles perfasa, Figure 2-4, shows the stator and rotor cage construction.
