Unidirectional Voltage Measurements

Have resistance meter gauge voltmeter voltage Rm. Prisoners dalammeter also show sensitivity meter, called Ifsd (full scale deflection) the current needed to move the needle on the meter full scale. To raise the limit measure voltmeterharus mounted custody series of RV.

Example:
Voltage gauge voltmeter has a current of 0.6 mA and a voltage meter meter 0,3V. Voltmeter will be used to measure the voltage of 1.5 V. Calculate the amount of prisoners Rv meter series.

When the desired voltmeter has a measuring limit 10 VAC, then the multiplier resistance value can be determined as follows:
Assume diode forward direction resistance value Rd = 400 ohms and as a result we get the rectifier diode direct voltage value by:

EDC = 0.45 x 10 VAC = 4.5 VDC
Rt = Edc / Im = 4.5 V / 1 mA = 4500 ohm

So the multiplier resistance value Rs is
Rs = Rt – Rd – Rm = 4500 – 400 – 100 = 4000 ohms.

Voltmeter is an instrument for measuring electrical voltage. Available in two forms namely analog and digital. This instrument has two terminals. For the purposes of measurement of electrical voltage voltmeter then grafting is done in parallel with the load measured.
