Objects In Burning Furnace

Preparation of objects for burning the biscuits should be done carefully because the object to be burned is still in a raw state so fragile enough to be moved. Some important things that should be considered in preparing ceramic objects for burning the biscuits, which are: 

  • The object that has a lid to be burned with the lid attached to the object in question, so that they have a uniform shrinkage.
  • Optimization of the preparation of the objects in the furnace can be assisted with the plate. Combustion objects or heaping plate of biscuits without excessive harm to the object being burned, because it can produce things that crack and change shape.
  • Better not burn ceramic objects in the furnace if it is only half-full, because it is a waste, circulation of the fire does not run evenly, as well as the spread of heat.

Process Objects
a. Prepare ceramic objects that have been dried (greenware) and grouped according to the size of the height in the rack thrust.

b. Clean plates and poles are required then the plate coated with the material kiln wash.

c. Place the base plate on the first sap is precise and stable. The composition of the next plate on a stand, when a hefty buffer at the meeting point of the plate can be put a buffer that could support the two plates at a time so it can be a little efficient in the utilization of space.

d. Arrange the ceramic objects that have been grouped into the furnace at a short distance. Keep the distance between objects allow circulation of heat to spread evenly in the combustion chamber in a balanced manner. Once the plate is fully charged then the next plate prepared to put other objects, and so on until the furnace chamber filled, consider fire circulation and layout objects.

e. Objects may touch each other, objects that are large and open another can be charged objects smaller objects that have the same shape, such as bowls, plates can be stacked in a way that the bowl lip with lip stick another bowl.

f. Put pyrometric cone or precise temperature saplings behind the peephole (spy hole) that normally exist in the furnace door. The position must be tailored to the specifics cone shape, generally placed with a certain slope corresponding cone pedestal. The object that has a lid to be burned with the lid attached to the object in question, so that they have a uniform shrinkage.

g. Close the door of the furnace, let it slightly open and evaporation and circulation hole opened so that the heating and evaporation processes can take place either, moisture can get out and not be hampered or accommodated in the furnace.
