Wood is meant here is the wood used as building material. The wood used as building material is wood obtained by mengkonsversikan shaped timber logs into beams, boards or other forms appropriate to their intended use. Wood as a building material can be divided into three (3) categories namely usage:
Timber Structural Buildings
Timber is to be used in building structures
Non-Structural Building Wood
Wood is the building to be used in part of the building that does not function as a building structure
Wood Building for other purposes
Wood is the building which does not include the two groups mentioned above, but can be used as building materials or building temporary helper.
Type of class division of the use of wood
a) Building Wood Structure
Quality wood building structure based on existing defects distinguished two (2) types of quality A and B with the requirements in Table 1.
b) Non Timber Building Structures
Non-structural building timber quality is determined on the basis of existing defects with the limits of a maximum handicap as follows in Table 2.
c) Wooden buildings for other purposes
Quality wood for other purposes is determined on the basis that there are defects in the wood. Wooden buildings that have defects in excess of the requirements for the quality of wood and non structural building structure included as wooden buildings for other purposes
