Fuel System In Diesel Engine

The fuel system on diesel engine has a very important role in generating combustion energy as a system that functions to provide and supply the high-pressure fuel into the cylinder.

In his study of diesel engine fuel system have special requirements such as: must have a corresponding high pressure in order to berpenetrsi into the cylinder, and timely.

In the diesel engine fuel flow starting from the fuel tank, feed pump, fuel filter, injection pump, high pressure pipe and nozzle.

Fuel injection system of diesel engine there are two kinds of fuel injection system type in-line or inline and distributor fuel injection system. The figure below shows the process flow of fuel in diesel motors.
a) Fuel Tank
In a diesel engine, fuel tank identical to the fuel tanks of motor gasoline. For more details, read back the fuel tank on the motor gasoline.
b) Fuel and Water Filters sedimentary

c) Water Injection Pump Distributor type sedimentary serves to separate the content of diesel fuel from water.
When the water reaches a certain height, the magnet is on the buoy will close the reed switch and turn on the indicator lights.
d) For Injection Pump Type In-Line
Fuel filters are made of paper and at the top there is air vent plug is used to remove the air (bleeding). Priming pump on the injection pump is located on the feed pump and injection pump is mounted on the body.

e) Pump Priming (Priming Pump)
Priming pump like in the picture below 4:42 serves to suck the fuel from the tank at the time of issuing false air from the fuel system. Priming pump is used usually when the machine run out of diesel fuel while the engine is still spinning, when the fuel has been replenished then the pump is used for issuing false air in the system.

f) Feed Pump (For Injection Pumps In-Line)
Feed pump is used to suck the fuel from the tank and pressed into the injection pump. Feed pump is a single acting pump that is mounted on the side of the injection pump and injection pump driven by the camshaft.
