Handling Mini Bar Examination

Mini Bar service usually aims to provide convenience for guests who require soft / soft drinks and other snacks in the room. So guests do not have to waste time out of the room or hotel for memberlinya as it also will bring profit from the sale of soft drinks and snacknya. In order for the minibar in the room can be handled properly so as to prevent loss or late charge to the minibar.

Minibar provided in the room along with a list of drinks and snacks available list along with minibars list / voucher which is a proof of payment for the guests. Front office cashier where guests will be billed if the check-out. Housekeeping clerk or order taker will create sales reports and lost mini bar based on the number of drinks taken by the room attendant to complete the room. (This task bias given to the section / department anywhere that has been set by the hotel.)

Procedures and responsibilities
1) Housekeeping Office / Order Taker
• The order taker inform supervisors about the room to be checked out
• Take a copy of the proof of payment of the minibar at the checkout
• Make a list menibar sold
• Keep a list minibar sold
• Make proof of loss approved by the housekeeper supervisor and front office cashier if minibar unpaid
• Make a list of the missing minibar
• Keep a list of missing minibar

2) Floor Supervisor
Immediately deliver to the room attendant to promptly conduct an examination of the room to check out.

3) Room attendant
• Request permission to guests to check the minibar
• Check the minibar in the room
• Room attendant immediately register to the cashier of the minibar consumed by a note:
• If at the time of check out the minibar guests will not allow the room attendant convey to the cashier
• If when the guest is checked turned out not to be in the room then roomboy directly check the minibar.

Goods handling Lost & Found
In General
• Information on the missing items left behind in hotel or order taker recorded in a log book; hour order taker, no. room, the type of request, giving orders, order recipient, description
• Officers will check book order taker lost & found
• If the item is not found (not recorded in the lost and found), express it to the guests and apologize.
• To make sure to do a search in the area on the item is lost or left behind
• If the declared goods do exist (provision) order taker should ask the guests challenged the characteristics, location and date of the goods lost or left behind in the hotel area
• Before handing the goods are found, the order taker should ask and copy the identity card of the person who took the goods.
• Once the goods taken by the owner, the officer order taker will give the records in the book lost & found that the goods have been taken by the owner.
