In the development of drilling technology has advanced, and until recently the rotary drill equipment system is the most appropriate technology for use in the manufacture of the well drilling operations. On systems equipment rotary drill has several major functions that support the activities of drilling operations, outline drilling equipment can be divided into five system main equipment, ie, the lift system (hoisting system), rotary system (rotating system), the circulatory system (circulating system), power system (power system) and wild spat suppression system (Blow Out preventer system).
In principle five of these systems support each other. In the activities performed on drilling operations, five of these systems to work together and support each other. So the success of a drilling operation is highly dependent on whether or not the performance of five of these systems. In drilling operations that use a system of rotating equipment there are two types of rotary systems that Kelly and top drive system.
At Kelly rotation system produced is by transferring the rotation of the rotary table to Kelly and forwarded to a series of other drilling. While the top drive, directly connected to the drilling string of top drive and spin generated is from the existing motor on top drive.

Lift system
The lift system (hoisting system) main function is to provide ample workspace for the drilling crew and for the appointment as well as decreased range of drill pipe and other equipment. The lift system is extremely important in connecting and releasing a series of activities such as drill bits, drill collars, drill pipe and or Kelly. The lift system consists of two main parts, namely:
1. Structural support
2. Lifting Equipment
