Broadly speaking, the method of washing can be divided into two parts, namely the method of soaking and spraying.
1) Immersion Method
The material to be washed soaked in water with a certain time to remove impurities attached to the material. To get the maximum laundering, on this treatment can be helped by brushing or rubbing carefully so that the material is not scratched. These activities are carried out in flowing water. Pinsip laundering work with immersion method can also be combined with a round, it is the same as washing machines.
This method is mostly done on a commodity tubers which are relatively resistant to mechanical damage. One example washing vegetables with immersion method are presented in the following figure.

2) Spraying
Results washing by spraying will be better because the dirt is more easily separated. Advantages with this method are: less time, labor slightly, to avoid contamination of former wash water, and capacity can be larger. The disadvantage is that many use the water so that operational costs become more expensive. Picture washing process with spraying method is presented in the following figure.

Cleaning and laundering activities of agricultural produce results in materials that are washed into the wet. This if left for a long time will result in the growth of spoilage microorganisms, so that the material will be damaged. Therefore, after the required drying washing by means of draining material at a certain place and a certain container until the water is completely drip and dry. To speed up the drying process can be aided by accelerating the flow of air using a fan.
