Things to consider in measuring the voltage is switch positions and limit measure measuring range (range). If will measure 220 ACV, switch the measuring range must be in a position ACV, and limit measure (range) at number 250 ACV. The same applies to DC voltage measurement (DCV). Equally important to note is the safety factor. Note whether the cable wrapping insulation investigator (probes). Are there chipped?
In measuring DCV, cable position investigator (probes) red (+ / out) is placed at the point of positive (+) of the voltage source to be measured, the cable investigator (probes) black (- / common) is placed at the point of negative (-) , To measure Balik Voltage Alternating Current (ACV) cable position investigator (probes) may be reversible, because the ACV every second occurred 50 x change the anode becomes a negative pole, and vice versa. On Multimeter analog type CX506, measuring limit (range) is the lowest 3 Volt, thus, if the limit measure (range) is placed at position 3 DCV Multimeter capable of measuring the voltage of the dry battery / dry cell (with high voltage 1.5 V) is more accurate rather than on measuring limit (range) 10 DCV. Analog multimeters type SP 10D SANWA or similar brands, has a measuring limit (range) voltage (ACV-DC); 10V / 50V / 250V / 500V / 1000V.
