Piles of materials is strongly influenced by the condition of the material itself. The materials need different handling packaged with materials that are stacked without packaging. For example in the handling of materials that are packed in cardboard boxes that are the same, then by using a standard size box may facilitate further handling. Nevertheless, if the box is handled is not uniform, the stacks can be unstable or heavier cartons can crush lighter ones.
An unstable load often result in fall / fall of the material being transported when traveling or during storage. The most popular MUM containers on palletstandar (1000 x 1200 mm or 40 x 48 inch) can be seen in the following figure. The use of MUM containers can save space during transport and storage, since pallet utilization is close to 100%.
